Last week's autumnal equinox made fall official, and the first signs of the shoulder season have reached Nantucket. After a long and lively summer, many islanders are ready for the slower pace.But before we settle into fall, we mustn't move on too quickly from September, which brought its own share of moments to be savored.

Nantucket is cleaning up and returning to normal after a weekend nor'easter brought strong winds and heavy rain to the island.

This coming weekend, on Saturday night, Theatre Workshop of Nantucket wraps up its three-week run of performances of The Mousetrap, the classic staged whodunnit by Agatha Christie.
