The return of fall sports brought an unmistakable hint of autumn to Nantucket last week, as Whalers athletes took back to the fields and courts.

The Nantucket Fire Department works year-round to protect Nantucket and keep the community safe, whether it's responding to fires or medical emergencies or answering other calls for help. On Sunday, August 23, the community had a chance to show its appreciation for the men and women behind the badge.
