Cold Turkey Plunge

This year’s brave swimmers at the Nantucket Atheneum Cold Turkey Plunge danced their way in and out of the water at Children’s Beach with on-shore spectators providing encouragement. Dozens of participants were quickly in and out, many wearing festive costumes beforehand and most with smiles on their faces. The library’s annual plunge provides the funding necessary for Weezie Library for Children to offer free, year-round access to its programs and services, and materials for all library users.
