Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard resumed their decades-old rivalry during the 43rd annual Island Cup. Despite an early lead by Nantucket, the Vineyarders fought back and reclaimed the coveted Island Cup trophy with a 24-21 win over the Whalers. With just three seconds left in the game, a Vineyarder kicker got the needed distance and aim on a 32-yard field goal for the win.
