The Nantucket High School Whalers football team brought home the coveted Island Cup trophy in an edge-of-your-seat overtime victory against Martha's Vineyard, 22-14, under the historic lights of Fenway Park last week. This year marked a new chapter in the event’s 44-year history, as it was the first time the game was played off-island, outside of Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket. Nevertheless, Nantucket fans showed up in force, braving the rain to cheer on the team.
