Ride for Baxter

Dozens of bikers hit the roads of Nantucket over the weekend for the second annual memorial ride honoring Baxter Waldman, the Nantucket High School student who tragically died in a motorcycle accident in 2022. Motorcyclists rode from Milestone Road through town, then swung out to Polpis Road and into 'Sconset, ending at the VFW, where friends, classmates, teachers, and members of the wider community gathered for lunch and conversation. Proceeds raised from the charity ride go towards the Baxter Waldman Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is geared towards Nantucket students "who are involved in their school and community as a team member, working outside of school, and determined to do what they love."
