A Winter’s Glimpse

As of March 20 — the official first day of spring — winter has finally released its hold on Nantucket. The season delivered a mix of powerful nor'easters, biting cold temperatures, and moments of stillness. February's deep freeze had the island bundled up against arctic winds, while early March offered glimpses of milder temperatures ahead. Nantucketers weathered the long, quiet months with resilience — gathering for community events, embracing the slower pace, and finding beauty in the stillness before spring's return.
