NSA Scallopalooza

Neither rain nor chilly weather deterred Nantucket's plentiful fans of the island's signature delicious bay scallops, at this past Saturday's NSA Scallopalooza. The first-year event by Nantucket Shellfish Association drew dozens of Nantucketers to Cisco Brewers for music, shucking demos, and, of course, seemingly endless mouthfuls of the Nantucket delicacy sought by so many for their meal tables. With an abundance of scallops available in Nantucket Harbor this year, the scalloping season lasted through Friday, April 11, following approval from the state's Division of Marine Fisheries.
