Race for Recovery

PHOTOGRAPHY BY BILL HOENK

The annual Race for Recovery happened on Nantucket Sunday afternoon, with both run and walk race events for those of different abilities. Island resident Jim Congdon earned first place in the 5K, and awards and door prizes were given to other participants. The event benefits Addiction Solutions of Nantucket, which helps people from all walks of life to reclaim their independence from opioids, alcohol, and other harmful substances. Organizers of this year's race say more than 300 persons participated.
